Leon County deputies responded to a vehicle crash at Mocassin Gap Road and Manpeter Place on Saturday night at approximately 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers and first responders found Donovan Jamal Sailor, 18, and Brandy Sue Jackson, 18, deceased in a vehicle.
According to police, Sailor and Jackson were traveling south on Moccasin Gap Road when Sailor, the driver, lost control while driving along a curve. The vehicle subsequently entered the northbound lane and was struck by another driver.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Capital Regional Medical Center, treated and released.
Upon investigation, deputies assume that speed played a big factor in this crash.
