Ever had that dying desire to live with fewer material possessions? If you do not own a television , radio, or even a car, this just may be the lifestyle for you.
Sometimes a little less color says a lot more. Minimalism is a tool to express the emotions that you may not be able to convey .
Providing the security from depression, guilt , and being overwhelmed. At times people forsake their personal health , relationships and passions for materialistic things.
Minimalism existed Iin fashion since the 1960’s. Designer Andre Courreges built the space age look of 1964, out of squares , trapezoids and triangles.Roy Halston Frowick , aka Halston , designed fluid gowns for 70’s disco dwellers as well as uniforms for flight attendants , the US olympic team , the NYPD and even the Girls Scouts.
Minimalism is more than a cute trend , its a lifestyle , that majority people do not live in.
British researchers found that the average 10 year old actually owns 238 toys but plays with only 12. And the world has a 3.1% of children that live in America but own 40% of the toys consumed globally ! According to ( the story of stuff ) reports indicate we consume twice as many material goods today as we did 50 years ago .
