Those attending Tallahassee Comic Con this past weekend had the opportunity to hear about fictional fights involving superheroes, extraterrestrials, zombies and more.

There’s a lot to look forward to this year: news and updates for some of the biggest television shows. movies, books and games coming out in the coming months.

Along with a plethora of cosplayers and collectors as they descended on the Tallahassee Automobile Museum this past weekend for two straight days of panels, collectibles, costumes and pop culture reveals.

As the festivities kicked off this past Saturday, December 2nd, fans were ecstatic as they waited in line bright and early for registration and to gain access to the show floor to participate at one of the many tabletops, arcade gaming and celebrity autograph they had to offer.

Friends, Miles Sullivan, Malik Lansiquot and Dre Bradley were having the time of their lives prior to making it inside the Museum as they was in awe of the different props and cosplay costumes from hits comics, movies and animes shows such as My Hero Academia, Death Note, One Punch Man.

As the moderator finished with the opening ceremony, fans broke out into different directions as they announced the variety of activities and panels from Women in Comics led by Sarah Wilkinson, Marvel TV and Movies Fan by Barbara Harper, Stunt Work in Film and TV, Fight Demonstration, Cartoon Concert and so much more.

Miles Sullivan, a freshman at Florida A&M University, said, “my first day at the Tallahassee comic con was better than what i expected and have my friends to thank for that.”

“With this being my first comic con i was a little skeptical but learning about the new updates in the world of geek motivated me to take advantage of my twenty dollars,” said Sullivan

Dre Bradley said,  “This year i was able to see Beau Billingslea, a voice actor for Cowboy Bebop, attended the discussion on Marvel TV and Movie Fan and Adapting Scripts for English Dubs. Another great addition was being able to watch everyone from kids to adults dress up in cosplay and participate in the costume contest.”

“I can’t wait for comic con to come back to Tallahassee next year!!!” said Bradley.

Malik Lansiquot, senior at Florida A&M University said, “I find myself annoyed by the ever-growing comic con that it doesn’t necessarily be about comics anymore but filled more with loads cool geeky stuff and autographs”.

I appreciate the fact that a lot people from different backgrounds can come together and bond over comics and anime and share their perspective” said Lansiquot.

Sunday, December 3rd marked the end to an eventful weekend as fans marched back to the Tallahassee Automobile Museum for the last rounds of panel discussion and costume contests. Day two brought live painting, A Tribute to Basil Gogos, Rissa Kilar Fighting Demo and Class, Q&A with Naomi Grossman and several more.

This weekend most popular items at the Con is the clutch of collectibles — posters, toys, etc. — sold and given away each year.
